E-Government

Prime Minister Tony Blair recently announced the location of a comprehensive guide to the lyrics of the Grateful Dead, along with the appointments of Patricia Hewitt as e-minister with particular responsibilities for e-commerce and Alex Allen as e-envoy. If you want them, the lyrics are on Alex's site! Our intrepid reporter Melanie Dymond Harper went to the "Scrambling for Safety 3.5" conference in September at which Patricia spoke on issues of cryptography and e-commerce. We hope to be able to shed more light on what an e-minister and e-envoy actually do in our next issue.
