Alta Vista - Bigger, Better, Faster, More?

Digital Research announced their new search engine, Alta Vista, just before Christmas. It has taken the Web by storm; it currently [February 1996] indexes 10 billion words on 21 million Web pages. The range of items returned from queries is generally larger than any other search engines (although the downside of this is that you may get more irrelevant information as well). They also provide a facility to search relevant Usenet posts.
