It is on the map, and it isn't. The full map as drawn by larry covers A LOT
more of velgarth than the published version.

The two maps published stack one atop the other. This is about the east 60%
of the full version. Admittedly all the books except the Gryphon series live
in this region - but White gryphon is about a page west and a little south
of the most southwest point shown. We really are trying to get the whole
thing into a poster.. really!

I hope that gives you a reference point though. Remember that White Gryphon
is on the coast.. a fair ways to the west! (No west coast of the continent
is shown in VC).

I hope that doesn't disappoint too much - the reasoning behind this is there
was only so much space available, and had the maps been shrunk down to where
it was all there, the names would have vanished - as a result, since almost
all the books have happened in the eastern part of the continent, the map
was trimmed to fit as twere.

Remember I kept saying the original was pretty big? My problem has been how
to back the darned thing up.. it's well over a gigabyte :)
