The hit of the month for July has been our Web page commemorating the Live Aid concert, which took place on July 13th 1985. Partly due to a mention in the Guardian's Online supplement for July 13th 1995, it has now [August 1995] had over 1200 visitors from (at least) 32 countries.
The page contains a schedule for the concert, including links to Web pages giving information about the bands which played on the day, along with links to information about famine relief and about Ethiopia. A supplementary page includes people's memories of the concert.
It has been voted into the top 5% of pages on the Web by Point, whose site (http://www.pointcom.com/) reviews and rates Web sites around the world for content, presentation and overall "experience".
The popularity of the Live Aid page has increased access to other pages on the site, as many of the visitors have gone on to visit further local pages.
